There are many different ways to prevent a scorpion infestation and to discourage them from coming back. In a previous post I have talked about the possibility of killing them off with a poison such as ‘deltamethrin granules’. How exactly should this be applied to your Paradise Valley home?
Scatter these as much as possible around the edges of your home, and pay particular attention to the small crevices and cracks that provide entry points for scorpions. Try to think like a small insect and put the granules along the bottoms of the doors, on the windowsills and into small cracks and holes in your brick and other points of entry.
Repeat the same with with other structures around your home such as sheds, and spread the granules outwards from the home at least 10 foot wide.
To make this process go faster you can use a granule spreader to create an even and far ranging coverage. This application should last 2-3 months.
The great thing about these granules is that they do not pose any danger to humans or pets, but will prevent most nesting of pets which in itself will already greatly limit the problem.
